Hi! I am hugo and i am fascinated by being alive. I am emitting from a country in a region formerly known as lusitania. My nationality is an accident and while i do not dismiss my origins, i consider myself, first and foremost, a world citizen, another human being strolling along this magnificent planet. As such, i use english as my main language, since it allows me to read, learn and communicate with a broader sample of fellow humans.

I am a bookworm, a devout atheist, a somewhat accidental philosopher, but mostly, i am curious. I like to question, to doubt and to try figure out, as much perspectives as possible on any given subject. And yet, i must admit, i know nothing. Say what you will, for me, friends and books, still remain, the best way to encounter and defy ideas.

I studied graphic design and have been working as a freelancer for over 25 years, on a now, almost extinct market. I have no awards but i do love, doing what i do and to be able to satisfy an incurable trait: I am a learn-a-holic. I just like to learn new things and there is, always, something to learn (trust me). And so, i have somewhat learned to code (this whole site is my own), to work with 3D, with print, video, music and whatever skills a job or my curiosity required.

I oppose digital slavery (google, meta, amazon, x, etc) and therefore i will not be found in none of those places. I believe a healthier internet can exist, where we can do what we want to do, without being tagged, targeted or tracked. Search for the Fediverse. This whole website is a simple example. It was manually coded by me. It is far from perfect, but i went to great lenghts to make sure that not a single tracker could slip in. Sacrifices were made but overall i am happy. Personally, this is important because i have the conviction that we should try, as best possible to uphold our beliefs. Be the change, right?
